The Rotary Club of Channahon-Minooka was chartered in 2004.
We began 2004 as the first club to be chartered in District 6450 during Rotary’s centennial year. We were also the 5th club in the United States and the 15th club in the world to be chartered that year.
Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
We are excited to be a service organization which combines the business minds of our two communities. We have supported our schools with scholarships for college, and leadership training. We support other charitable community organizations with manpower and donations. We found and participate in projects locally and throughout the world for a variety of needs from disaster relief to local scholarships. We enjoy great speakers each Tuesday morning which keep us up to date with developments in the community, business, planning, and politics.
Our club is a place of friendship, learning, humor and accomplishment.
If you are a person interested in becoming involved in your community, we would love to meet you!
Please contact any current member or visit us on Tuesday mornings at 7 a.m. at the Channahon Village Hall 24555 South Navajo Drive Channahon, IL 60410. Ted Jarz
